How to Access IELTS Results Online

After writing the IELTS, every student remains anxious to know his students. There is no pass or fail grade in the IELTS and all results are given with respect to a band score. The four modules of the IELTS are marked on a band score basis and the average of all the band scores is taken to get the overall band score.
Band scores are given in the range of 1-9, with 9 being the highest band score and 1 being the lowest band score. Every educational institute has its own band score levels and determines the eligibility of students depending on them.

The IELTS results are mailed to the student 13 days after the test is taken.

Several test centres also provide facilities of IELTS results through SMS alerts and online results service and check their IELTS results online. Students need to check with the test centres they have chosen to take the IELTS, to verify if they provide an online access to results.
Nowadays, several of the agencies provide verification and access of IELTS results online. Students can log-in with their candidate number and passport or id information along with their date of birth and selected test date, to view their results. Usually test results are stored in an organization's website for only a period of 28-30 days after which the candidate cannot access them online. Students can have their test report form sent to five institutions that they prefer for no cost. The test report forms are valid for a period of two years.

Students usually should prepare well in advance to score a good score on the IELTS.

Scoring a 8-9 band score on the IELTS enables the student to qualify for admission at really good institutions. The most recommended way of preparation in order to get a good score on the IELTS is to enroll into classes which cover all the topics and questions that usually appear on the IELTS. Taking a good number of practice tests is also a good way of preparing for the IELTS.
Students should remain confident while taking the exam and make sure that they read all the questions correctly and understand them before answering.
